Library
Library Policies:
- Students must sign in at the circulation desk.
- Students must have their IDS to enter the library and to check out books.
- Books are loaned for three weeks. Books must be present to renew.
- Students may drink beverages in the TILED AREA ONLY. Bottled water is allowed anywhere in the library.
- Food is not permitted in the library.
- Cell phones are allowed in the library. Students may not talk on their cell phones. All cell phones must be turned to silent.
- Please be respectful of other people using the library and keep your voices down.
Break Out Rooms:
Small rooms are available in the library for students to use for group work. Please see Mrs. Buswell or Mrs. Peters for details.
Tech Team:
The tech team is open 7:30-3:15 during the school week. It is available to help students who are having problems with their chromebooks.

All of these resources are available to you from home, but require a username and password for access.

- American History in Video features 2,000 total hours of streaming videos that bring history alive for students.
- Britannica Online is a comprehensive web-based encyclopedia. It also has the Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, and Britannica's Internet Guide.
- CultureGrams is a reference for concise, reliable, and up-to-date information on countries across the globe.
- Gale Collection covers literature and authors, biography, science, and history. It includes biographies, topical overviews, critical analyses, plot summaries, events, and media elements.
- iClipArt for Schools is a searchable database of 7.8 million clip art images, photos, fonts and sounds.
- Learn360 is a great resource for videos, video clips, and images.
- ScienceFlix browses a variety of science topics which include experiments, career information, and science news.
- SIRS Issues Researcher provides articles selected from magazines and newspapers. All of the articles are full-text.
- Soundzabound is a database of copyright safe sound effects and music.
- Teen Health & Wellness provides up-to-date information on a variety of health topics, including diseases, drugs and alcohol, nutrition, fitness, mental health, sexuality and sexual health, and more.

- America’s Historical Newspapers (1690-2000) (K-12) includes 20th Century Timeline and topic search covering issues, events, literature, inventions and more from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I, Roaring Twenties, Great Depression, World War II, Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam War, globalization and other eras.

- SNAP is an online catalog of resources for teachers available through the Mississippi Bend AEA. (See Mrs. Peters in the library for password).
Online Newspapers:
- Quad City Times E-Edition allows you to access current and archived Quad City Times editions.
